As a lover of all things fashion, I do admire menswear because there’s just something about the clean lines and tailoring. So, on that note it makes sense to have some male perspectives on fashion and trends. This week I’ve enlisted the very well-informed and ever so stylish Isaac Hinden-Miller, a freelance writer and founder of Isaac Likes — now based in NYC, to share his wardrobe essentials for looking dapper from season to season.
Isaac’s wardrobe essentials for winter in NYC: 1.A duffel coat. 2. An oversized, drop-shoulder overcoat. 3. A hand-knitted sweater. 4. Great looking boots (I like brown leather Red Wings). 5. A grey flannel suit. 6. Stonewash Levi’s 501s. 7. A black leather asymmetrical moto jacket. 8. Woolen socks. 9. A Levi’s Type II Trucker Jacket.
Isaac’s summer must-have’s: 1. White and pale blue button-down oxford shirts — they go with everything and you can dress them up with a suit and tie, or down with denim or chinos. 2. White t-shirts. 3. Your favourite pair of jeans. 4. classic sunglasses: Ray Ban Clubmasters, Wayfarers, or Moscots. 5. Canvas sneakers like Vans Authentics or high top Converse Chuck Taylors (preferably in white or blue). 6. White jeans. 7. Hawaiian short-sleeve shirts. Because trust me, you’ll love them!
