Always stuck on
in the past,
nowhere is yesterday like
Hands slide, slipping
time leaves only more
to waste away
to say what needs to be
put to rest.
race you to the finish line.
Just be on
On good time, on good terms
sometimes you just have to ride on
It’s Time. So after wearing my current watch for almost ten years and having recently fallen in love with The Horse, I decided it was time for a change. The Sydney-based label have certainly hit the nail on the horses head with a range of clean minimalist watch designs, and a range of leather goods that also includes wallets and footwear.
I settled on the polished rose gold version with a blush strap (although I was rather smitten with the walnut version too). The watches are unisex, so luckily for me the face sits larger on my smaller frame, which I adore. If you’re in the market for a new watch (and one that’s affordable), Good as Gold stock quite a wide range of The Horse with about twelve options available in various metal finishes, and different leather straps.
My obsession with time dictated that I also had to have this sweatshirt. I’m not ordinarily a fan of slogans or logos on my clothing, this however, has changed all of that.
The sweatshirt in question is a slim-fit cut, with a flattering raglan sleeve produced as part of a co-lab between Stockholm-based & Other Stories and New York designer, Rachel Antonoff. Since it arrived in the post last week, I’ve worn it a couple of times: first with jeans in the weekend, then paired with a structured midi skirt and my favourite gold platform shoes (in a ‘dressing up to dress down’ kind of way) for work, and let’s just say, I wish I could wear it every day!
If you find something that you like from & Other Stories—especially anything from the co-labs—you have to snap them up quickly, because no sooner do you hear about a collaboration and begin typing in the web address, and items have already sold out. The one I missed out on a few seasons ago was a co-lab with Russian designer Vika Gazinskaya—I cried on the inside that day!
If you’re keen on a sweat like this though, I totally recommend that you start stalking Rachel Antonoff who does a cool range of old skool style sweats with simple, yet appropriate slogans available via her online store here.
As for ‘time,’ it’s true that there is never enough of it, but my new mantra is to try and stay ‘in time’ rather than on time, because It’s [always]Time, and there is no time like the present!
