Happy Monday! It’s Anniversary weekend in Wellington, so I thought I’d start a new Loving and Loathing series as a chance to share some quick thoughts. I’m pleased to say, the positive outweighs the negative…
Long weekends (I only wish the the sun was out!).
Always and forever, Chloe Sevigny (pictured). I first saw her in Larry Clark’s film, Kids. I can’t say I’m enamoured with her acting, but she has an unconventional style that somehow manages to remain quirky, and oddly enough, timeless.
Our new fur baby: a Ragdoll kitten who is now 12 weeks old.
Summer days without that crazy Wellington wind.
A recent trip to Auckland to hang out with friends and the weather was amazing!
The Sartorialist X: Scott Schuman really is the master of street style photography and I’m stoked to have all three of his books as part of my collection. Review coming your way soon…
The space I managed to clear on our bedroom floor—it’s amazing how mess and clutter can also clutter the mind.
Cropped hair: These locks of mine are coming off this week. I’m tossing up between a cute pixie do—I love stylist Eva Geraldine Fontanelli’s wavy pixie or something with a bit more movement like L.A tomboy Britenelle Fredericks who has hair that I just can’t get enough of.
When summer weather feels more like winter.
The way our kitten likes to play with our feet at night—we have to shut him out of our rooms, but he still manages to place his paws underneath the doors and cry.
The thought of returning to work after such a long break.
Domestic chores—always left to the last minute because I’d rather spend my time doing everything but chores.
Call centre workers who ring at the most inappropriate time (usually during dinner).
My frizzy hair—it’s definitely coming off despite the lob remaining the hairstyle of the moment. I need to get back to my tomboy roots and I want my hair to stop feeling like a wig!
The thought of my new hair cut turning into a disaster that I can’t reverse…but that’s always the risk of change!
My impatience. I’m desperate for AW16 collections to finally drop.
